Abstract
Plastics Manufacturing Center of Excellence – Effective resource for Pennsylvania’s Plastics Industry
Responding to the growing demands of Pennsylvania’s plastic producers, the PMC has developed a customized assistance program in alliance with the plastics industry and the state of Pennsylvania, to advance industry technology and to transfer the technology to private sector industry members.
The PMC is one of the top plastic technology centers in the country with extensive material testing laboratories, industrial scale process equipment, world-class training facilities, and highly skilled consulting staff.
This presentation will include a discussion of the rise of the PMC from local to regional to national prominence. Success stories will be provided that demonstrate outstanding plastics product commercialization abilities and superior training capabilities, along with the impact of Global Standards for Plastics Certification Program.
