Materials Science Industry Partnership of Southwest Pennsylvania 

Partnership:  Materials Science Industry Partnership of Southwest Pennsylvania
Counties Eligible:  Beaver, Allegheny, Washington, Greene, Westmoreland, Fayette
Description:  The Materials Science Industry Partnership (MSIP) of Southwest Pennsylvania works to foster a progressive group of materials-related firms including those in chemicals, plastics, ceramics, glass, and primary metals to increase the regional industry's capacity and competence for innovation by developing the skills and abilities to more effectively generate new ideas, solve problems, improve processes, and commercialize new products and services. The MSIP does this through executive networking, worker pipeline development, and through the application of incumbent worker training grants for advanced skills.
